XIN GENG

After graduating from the Beijing Normal University in 1982, Xin Geng remained at the university and conducted research in the field of economic theory and also worked as a lecturer, and at the same time conducted research on the issue of economic reform.  In 1986, he went to the Faculty of Business of the Asia University of Japan and later spent time at the University of Tokyo and conducted a number of research projects in NIRA Japan.

Before joining Phoenix Television, Geng Hsin served as the chief researcher for the China Studies Think Tank Japan, was a senior researcher at the Chongyang Institute for Financial of the Renmin University of China, and often appeared on Chinese language media platforms discussing relations between China, Japan and the United States, and the issue of Taiwan.

In 2012, Xin Geng served as a foreign representative and attended as a nonvoting delegate in the fifth session of the 11th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Congress.

In late 2015 Xin Geng joined Phoenix Television as a commentator, and his major programs are “Summary of Press” 《有報天天讀》, “Financial Journal” 《金石財經》and “Omni Talk” 《全媒體大開講》.
